The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) successfully served a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) against a Most Wanted Person (MWP) listed in the DILG most Wanted Person with a reward of Three Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP300,000) for the crime of Kidnapping for Ransom on February 15, 2026, at about 3:30 PM, in Brgy. Limonda, Opol, Misamis Oriental by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Kidnapping for Ransom docketed under Criminal Case No. 07-1256, with No Bail Recommended, issued and signed by Hon. Cesar D. Santamaria, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 145, Makati City dated June 24, 2008.
Arrested 2LT PREACHER JACOB y DARUNDAY a.k.a. Tenyente, Preacher Jacob, and Commander, 48 years old, is a former member of the Philippine Army and a resident of Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte.
The operations was carried out by the tracker team of AKG Mindanao Field Unit-Iligan Satellite Office (AKG MFU-ISO) in coordination with Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office (MORPPO), Opol Municipal Police Station (OMPS), Regional Intelligence Division-PRO 10, Mindanao Oriental, PPO; 13th SAC, 1st SAB, PNP SAF; Directorate for Intelligence, Mindanao Area Police Intelligence Office (DI-MAPIO), Presidential Anti Organize Crime Commission (PAOCC), and Task Force Kalikasan ug Kalinaw, Misamis Oriental.
As a background, Preacher served as the negotiator in the kidnapping of a Pakistani national on May 24, 2007, at about 8:30 PM, in front of Silver Rose General Merchandise in Santuico Street, Makati City.
