Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City-On August 13, 2025, operatives of PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group-Mindanao Field Unit (AKG-MFU), along with personnel of Iligan City Police Office, Munai Municipal Police Station, and the 1005th Mobile Company of RMFB10, arrested Casamina Balowa Ampaso for the crime of Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention in Brgy. Tambo, Munai, Lanao del Norte.
The suspect, also known as Casmina Guinal Balowa, 39 years old, former security guard and a resident of Dimarao, Bacolod, Lanao del Norte, is the primary suspect in the kidnapping of 6-year old boy a.k.a. Cardo in Iligan City on November 17, 2024.
The arrest was made by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention under Article 267 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by R.A. No. 18 and R.A. No. 1084, docketed under Criminal Case No. 25-30748, with no bail recommended. The warrant was issued on April 28, 2025 by Hon. Arassad Macarampat Macumbal, Presiding Judge, RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 2, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte.
