Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City – The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group, successfully served Warrants of Arrest against JOELLA JUMAWAY LINDO, also known as β€œTita Wela,” 49 years old, female, single, and a resident of Tibag, Tarlac City. The subject was listed as Rank Number 4 in the AKG Ten Most Wanted Persons and under AKG COPLAN β€œRUN-AWAY.”

The arrest was carried out on February 2, 2026, at about 3:10 PM, along W. Bank Road corner Blk 14, Road 24, Barangay San Andres, Cainta, Rizal by AKG personnel in coordination with Police Regional Office 4A and Cainta Municipal Police Station by virtue of Warrants of Arrest for Kidnapping for Ransom, under Criminal Case No. 2932-2014, dated July 25, 2014, with no bail recommended, and Swindling, under paragraph 1(b), Article 315 of the Revised Penal Code, under Criminal Case No. 2904-14, dated June 26, 2014, with a recommended bail amounting to PhP16,000.00.

The subject wanted person was involved in the kidnapping of a student and her uncle, who was a tricycle driver, on October 25, 2013, when he accompanied his niece to school. During the incident, the uncle was later found dead. The other victim positively identified the suspect as one of their abductors through a rogue gallery and photograph presentation. Further, investigation disclosed that the subject had been in hiding in various parts of Cagayan, Tarlac, and Pangasinan for nearly thirteen (13) years prior to her arrest.
