On March 1, 2026 at 9:00AM, PCOL JONATHAN G CALIXTO, Deputy Director for Administration, AKG, represented the leadership of the Anti-Kidnapping Group during the Closing Ceremony of the Foundation Negotiation and Kidnap Course hosted by the British Embassy Manila at the Seda BGC Hotel, Taguig City.
The week-long course, which officially opened last Sunday, February 22, 2026 was participated in by AKG personnel under the leadership of PBGEN GLICERIO C CANSILAO. The seminar provided valuable insights, practical strategies and techniques in crisis negotiation, hostage management, and operational response, further strengthening the capabilities of AKG operatives in handling complex kidnapping and crisis incidents.
The Anti-Kidnapping Group extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Pip Morgan, Head of National Security, CTEN & Cyber, British Embassy Manila and Detective Chief Inspector Simon Jones, UK Counter Terrorism Police Liaison Officer to the Philippines for their steadfast support and collaboration.
Special thanks are also given to the trainers led by Mr. John Fisher of the UK Hostage Crisis Negotiation Unit, HCNU Trainers: Mr. Toni Collinson, Mr. Stephen Fosher and Mr. Nigel Roberta for their invaluable expertise and commitment to enhancing inter-agency cooperation and professional excellence.
