The Philippine National Police – Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP AKG) successfully arrested its No. 9 Most Wanted Person for the crime of Kidnapping early dawn of March 6, 2026 in Imus, Cavite.

The arrested suspect was identified as Richard Llanes Perol, 27 years old, single, and a resident of Trece Martires, Cavite. The operation was conducted through the joint efforts of personnel from the Luzon Field Unit and Cavite City Police Station by virtue of three Warrants of Arrest (WOA) issued by the Regional Trial Courts, Branch 153 and 163 Taguig City under Criminal Case Nos. 10204 and 1020, for the crime of Kidnapping for Ransom with Homicide under Art. 267, in relation to Art. 249 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC), as amended, and Kidnapping for Ransom and Serious Illegal Detention with Serious Physical Injuries under Art. 267 of the RPC as amended, both with no bail recommended. Further, a WOA was also served to the suspect for the crime of Qualified Theft under Art. 310 of the RPC with Criminal Case No. R-PSY-25-00397-CR, and R-PSY-25-00398-CR issued by Hon. Ronald August L Tan, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 297, Pasay City.

As a background, the arrested suspect was responsible for the kidnapping of a minor student and his driver on February 20, 2025 wherein the driver was later found dead in Bulacan. The arrested individual is currently in the custody of PNP AKG pending the return of WOA to the issuing court.
