On October 2, 2026, at about 7:30 AM, PBGEN EDWIN C BALLES, Director, Anti-Kidnapping Group, conducted a βTalk to Menβ session with the personnel of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group held at the AKG Parking Lot.
The session went beyond operational concerns, highlighting the importance of personnel welfare, physical and mental well-being, effective time management, and maintaining a healthy balance between duty and family life.
He also emphasized that while the nature of anti-kidnapping operations demands dedication, vigilance, and readiness at all times, personnel must also recognize the importance of taking care of themselves and making time for their families. A healthy and well-balanced police officer is better equipped to perform his or her duties with focus, resilience, and commitment.
The Director also encouraged personnel to practice proper time management giving equal importance to mission requirements, health, self-care, and family. He underscored that achieving operational excellence should go hand in hand while maintaining a healthy lifestyle and nurturing meaningful relationships outside the workplace.
The activity also served as an avenue for open communication, allowing personnel to openly discuss concerns, challenges, and ideas affecting their welfare. It reinforced the AKG leadershipβs commitment to creating a workplace where personnel are not only prepared to protect others but are likewise supported, valued, and cared for.
The session highlighted a simple but essential message: the strength of the Anti-Kidnapping Group is anchored not only on its operational capabilities, but also on the well-being, dedication, and resilience of its people.
βThrough strong leadership, open communication, proper time management, and a genuine concern for personnel welfare, the PNP AKG continues to foster a culture where service to the nation and care for one’s health and family go hand in hand,β said PBGEN BALLES.
