Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City β In a decisive law enforcement operation, the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP AKG), through its Mindanao Field Unit (MFU), successfully arrested a Top 3 Most Wanted Person at the Regional Level for the crime of Murder on May 5, 2026, at about 4:00 PM, in Brgy. Loay, Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte.
The arrested individual was identified as ERNESTO DEL CARMEN FAJARDO, 46 years old, married, jobless, and a resident in the said area. He was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code, docketed under Criminal Case No. 15864, issued by Hon. Jose Ronald M. Bersales, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 47, Masbate City, with no bail recommended.
The operation was carried out by personnel of AKG Mindanao Field Unit (MFU), in coordination with Masbate Municipal Police Station, 97th Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, Philippine Army, Gutalac MPS, Usun MPS, and Masbate Police Provincial Office.
