Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City β The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG), through its Luzon Field Unit (AKG-LFU), successfully arrested a Most Wanted Person ranked as No. 4 in the AKG Most Wanted Person in an operation conducted on May 2, 2026, at about 6:00 PM in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija.
The operation was carried out by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Kidnapping for Ransom and Serious Illegal Detention, docketed under Criminal Case No. R-PSY-24-02367-CR dated January 17, 2025 issued by Branch 297 of the Regional Trial Court, Pasay City.
The arrested suspect from Gapan City, Nueva Ecija was identified as Jan Alexis De Guzman Mateo, 31 years old who was involved in the kidnapping of a Chinese National in July 2024.
