Camp BGen Rafael T. Crame, Quezon City – The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG), through its Mindanao Field Unit (AKG-MFU), successfully arrested a Top 7 Most Wanted Person (Municipal Level) for the crime of Rape in an operation conducted on May 1, 2026, at about 11:30 AM in Senator Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat.

The 49 year-old farmer from North Cotabato identified as Ricardo Javier y Pimentel, was arrested by AKG-MFU Cotabato Satellite Office personnel by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for two (2) counts of Rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 7279-2022 and 7280-2022, issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 23, Kidapawan City, dated January 14, 2022, with no bail recommended.

During the arrest, the suspect voluntarily disclosed that he was in possession of a firearm inside his sling bag which led to a lawful search conducted in the presence of barangay officials. The search resulted in the confiscation of one (1) caliber .45 pistol (Colt MK IV Series 80) with loaded magazine, one (1) extra magazine, eighteen (18) live ammunitions for caliber .45, three (3) live ammunitions for caliber .38, and one (1) bladed weapon. Additional charges for violation of RA 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition) are being prepared.
