The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP AKG), under the leadership of PBGEN EDWIN C BALLES, proudly celebrates the successful culmination of the Basic Chinese Speaking Skills Training Program, conducted in partnership with the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII). The milestone was highlighted by a Closing Ceremony held on June 23, 2026, at the FFCCCII Building, Binondo, Manila.

This landmark achievement underscores the unwavering commitment of the PNP AKG to professional growth, operational readiness, and excellence in public service. The program aligns with the priority thrust of PGEN JOSE MELENCIO T NARTATEZ JR, Chief, PNP, emphasizing continuous learning and capability enhancement to ensure that police personnel stay adaptive, competent, and responsive to the evolving demands of law enforcement.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished leaders and partners, including Minister Counselor and Consul General Wang Wei of the Embassy of the Peopleโ€™s Republic of China, Mr. Victor Lim, President of FFCCCII, Dr. Judelio Yap, President of Chiang Kai Shek College, and Mr. Ryan C. Li Fong, Supervisor of the Chinese Department of Chiang Kai Shek College. Their presence reflects a shared commitment among the PNP AKG, FFCCCII, and partner institutions to strengthening cooperation through language education, cultural understanding, and institutional partnership.

As a testament to this collaboration, the Chinese Embassy to the Philippines extended its support through the donation of five (5) translator devices, which will further enhance the communication capabilities of AKG personnel and contribute to more effective coordination in the performance of their duties.

PBGEN EDWIN C BALLES commends all AKG participating personnel for their dedication and perseverance in completing the training program. Their achievement is a significant step toward fostering stronger engagement, improving operational efficiency, and building meaningful connections across communities.
