Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City – Operatives of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP AKG) through the Visayas Field Unit Bacolod Satellite Office, successfully arrested a woman wanted for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, specifically Article II, Section 7 (Employees and Visitors of a Drug Den, Dive, or Resort).

On July 11, 2026, at about 3:50 PM, AKG VFU operatives served a Warrant of Arrest against the accused identified only as a.k.a. “Demie,” a 32-year-old resident of Purok Mabinuligon, Barangay 30, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

The accused was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Hon. Juvi A. Victoriano-Dioso, Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 49, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental dated July 6, 2026, with Criminal Case No. 21-54631 for violation of Article II, Section 7 of Republic Act No. 9165, with a recommended bail of PhP200,000.00.

Upon arrest, the accused was informed of the nature and cause of the arrest and was apprised of her constitutional rights, including those provided under Republic Act No. 9745, otherwise known as the Anti-Torture Act of 2009, in a language known to and understood by her.

The arrested individual is currently under the custody of Police Station 5, Bacolod City Police Office (CPO), pending the return of the Warrant of Arrest to the issuing court and the completion of other required legal procedures.
