Demonstrating the commitment to strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders of the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP AKG), PBGEN EDWIN C BALLES, Acting Director AKG, served as the Guest Speaker during the Council Meeting of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII), on July 14, 2026, held at the 8th Floor, FFCCCII Building, Binondo Manila.

In his address, PBGEN BALLES recognized the FFCCCII as one of the country’s foremost economic pillars and acknowledged its longstanding support to government initiatives, particularly in promoting peace and order, public safety, and security. He emphasized the vital role of collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the business sectors in combating kidnapping for ransom and other criminal activities that threaten communities and economic growth.

The Acting Director likewise highlighted the continuing efforts in intelligence operations, law enforcement, victim rescue, and successful prosecution of kidnapping cases of AKG. He reaffirmed AKG’s commitment in protecting businesses, families, and communities through responsive and professional police service.

PBGEN Balles underscored the importance of partnership, stating:
