Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City – The Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP AKG) arrested a wanted person facing charges of Kidnap-for-Ransom and Serious Illegal Detention during the service of Warrant of Arrest in Tagaytay City on September 29, 2026.

At about 7:00 PM on the same date, operatives of the PNP AKG Luzon Field Unit implemented the Warrant of Arrest against a 48-year-old male accused at Vilbay Street, Maitim 2nd East, Tagaytay City.

The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court, National Capital Judicial Region, Branch 297, Pasay City, on January 16, 2025, under Criminal Case No. R-PSY-24-02367-CR for Kidnap-for-Ransom and Serious Illegal Detention, with no bail recommended.
The arrest stemmed from the alleged involvement of the accused in the kidnapping of a Chinese national, which occurred on July 31, 2024, at the SM Mall of Asia (SM MOA) open parking lot in Pasay City.

The arrested suspect was brought to the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group Headquarters, Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City, for proper disposition.

“The PNP AKG remains firm in pursuing wanted persons especially those involved in kidnapping-for-ransom and other related crimes in bringing them before the court of justice.
